I AM Ready for Life, Inc. provides independent and small group related services to youth, ages 14 through 21 years of age, preparing to enter the workforce. To be eligible for these special education services:

• The youth must have an identified disability;

• The disability must adversely (negatively) affect the youth’s educational performance; and

• The youth must require a specially designed instructional program.

I AM Ready for Life is an approved vendor with Florida’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and we are happy to serve VR’s customers. At this time, our services are only available to participants registered with VR. Customers of VR can speak with their assigned VR Counselor to request services from I AM Ready for Life, Inc. 

HOW TO REGISTER WITH VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION 

Students with disabilities who are in high school or post-secondary school (trade, college or university) can begin the VR process by:

1. Asking your school to make a referral to VR

2. After your school submits the referral, a VR counselor will contact you to arrange a meeting

3. Then, you can begin participating in services through VR

Youth with disabilities who are not in school can begin the VR process by:

1. Completing a referral for services through VR’s website (www.rehabworks.org)

2. Applying for services

3. If you are determined eligible for services, your VR Counselor will help you write your Individualized Plan for Employment

4. Then, you can begin participating in services through VR
